Update Account Information

This form should be used to:

  • Update account name due to a legal name change or correct a name misspelling
  • Update mailing/billing address
  • Update phone number
  • Update email address
  • Add a secondary contact to the account or remove a secondary contact from the account
  • Add, remove or change the property management company associated with the account
  • Add or update a third-party billing company

Please note: If you are moving, please use the Start Water/Wastewater Service form or the Stop or Transfer Water/Wastewater Service form.

New Mailing Address

Please note: Any individual or business listed as a contact on a Public Utilities Department account will have the same access to account information, and the ability to make changes on the account, as would the account holder. This includes information regarding usage, rates, payment method and billing information. This also includes the ability to close the account, and update the mailing address, phone number and email address, as well as add additional contacts on the account. Contacts, however, are not allowed to start or transfer service on behalf of the account holder, with the exception a property management company with a current property management agreement on file.

Property management companies are required to provide specific documents to act on behalf of an owner. Please upload one copy of each of the following: 

  1. W-9 or San Diego Business Tax Certificate for the property management company
  2. Property Management Agreement
